This Oilskin Duster, made as a copy from an original example. We buy this cloth from the same company that has been producing it since 1784, the cloth is impregnated with cupra oil and is truly waterproof, it also has the appearance of being aged and so looks really great.The pattern is very similar to the RB020 Duster Coat, the coat is only supplied unlined. Single breasted as standard (double breasted is optional) with three piece body construction, one piece sleeves, fitted with two large patch pockets with flaps and five large wooden buttons. It is quite long, finishing well below the knee, it has a split rear seam from the small of the back to the bottom of the coat (to enable the coat to be worn on horseback) which is reinforced with a leather tab.It has a double cape and is available in Brown or Black oilcloth.Made to order only in the colours and sizes below, delivery 8 weeks minimum.
Made to an authentic period pattern, these trousers can be worn inside high boots, the seat is reinforced just like the originals were and we make them from a strong medium weight corduroy, which was a very popular fabric in the 19th century, the colour is dark tan. A watch pocket is fitted on the right hand side and you have two normal side pockets as well. Real bone or tin buttons are fittted. Made to order in your size delivery 6-8 weeks.

RB2046 Victorian travelling coat which is basically yet another version of a frock coat. Made from a very good quality Hainsworth wool, fully lined in black or brown polished cotton. This coat is a copy of an original in our collection and features a one piece front, cut long to end mid calf, the rear of the coat is constructed as a traditional frock coat from 4 pieces of cloth, giving the coat what we term as a 'six piece construction'. We have based these drawers on the examples contained in the Columbia Rifles Research Compendium.These drawers are made from a cotton Domet flannel that we have had remanufactured. We believe this to be the closest cloth to the cloth that was used on the original drawers that we have personally inspected in the USA.The drawers have ties at the back and at the ankle, we have fitted a single button to the fly to preserve modesty!!Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.

An Ulster Coat is basically an overcoat without sleeves that was very popular from about 1830 to 1910. Here is one we made for a client recently out of grey jeanscloth for his American Civil War impression. The price quoted is for a wool coat The coat shown is lined with a matching grey cotton drill material but you can choose a matching wool flannel lining at extra cost if you wish.
