We have changed the way you order our uniforms!Our fabulous ranges of historically accurate Federal Officers Uniforms are still hand made in our tailoring shop to your exact specifications with delivery in approximately 6-8 weeks BUT many customers said that the old system was a little confusing! Hopefully this new method will be easier. We can all see from surviving photography and original uniforms in museums that there were a great many variations worn by officers during the period. As a result we decided that it would be best to let you choose exactly what you want!Basically you start with the jacket design, whether single or double breasted we have Shell Jackets and Frock Coats to choose from. Each style's price is clearly shown at the end of the item description; this is the price for a standard jacket with none of chargeable optional extras it does include the collar insignia and your choice of buttons. Decide if you want an exterior side pocket and or fully functioning cuffs! If you wish you can add branch of service coloured cuff and or collars, Austrian knots, branch of service coloured piping, your rank, your button choice and then finally put in your sizes! The checkout will work out the total cost but to make it easier we have listed all the price options next to the chargeable choices.

Our Officers Single Breasted Shell Jackets are fitted with 12 buttons to the front and 3 to the sleeve cuffs, and is made from a high quality Abimilech Hainsworth military grade.The jacket is fully lined in a quality polished cotton as per originals and an interior document pocket is fitted as standard.You choose whether you want fully functioning cuffs! If you wish you can add branch of service coloured cuff and or collars, Austrian knots, branch of service coloured piping, your rank, your button choice and then finally your size! Shown here is our General Officers Frock Coat Made as per original examples, double-breasted design with appropriate button spacing as per rank regulations. Finished in good quality military weight Hainsworth wool. Fitted as standard with domed staff officers buttons. The coat is plain, supplied fully lined with pockets in skirts and velvet collar and cuffs, Please note the beautiful 'domed' US staff buttons (RB081) are included in the price. The price also includes the appropriate shoulder boards. This price is for the Frock Coat, trousers and waistcoat (style RB030F) . Fitted with eagle general service buttons the coat is fully lined. The trousers have a gold welt as befits a senior officer, Fabulous uniform. Shoulder bars are included in the priceAll the other items are available elsewhere on the site.
This is a coat that we often see being worn in period pictures and therefore was probably quite a commonly worn item. Our version is made from a blue wool with a noticable 'twill', just as we have seen in some of the close-up photographs of the time. It is lined in wool flannel and features an interior breast pocket and three exterior slash pockets, this picture shows a black velvet collar which seems to have been a common feature but you can have it without if you prefer. The length is longer than an enlisted mans sackcoat falling to below the hip.Comes fitted with shoulder board ranks as chosen from the list below. Very similar to the nine button version (RB030), but cut away to reveal the shirt and tie. Made from a quality wool with three exterior pockets , lined in either black or brown polished cotton or off-white cotton. Period adjustable buckle in brass is fitted . Choose from any of our wool selection.
Made in the correct weight and colour Dark Blue Melton. Entirely machine stitched. Cotton pockets, black tin buttons,slash pockets, watch pocket fitted. Cuff is plain. 'V' split waistband. Two piece rear construction.
