We have always made these for those who have asked but lately we've been getting so many enquiries for them that we thought we had better put them on the website!
This is a Richmond Depot Style Jacket with facings to collar and cuff in branch of service colours, they are made from a military quality medium weight grey wool (by Hainsworth) with an off-white cotton lining, fitted with an interior pocket. The jacket body is of 6 piece construction and the sleeve of 2 piece. 9 buttons are fitted to the front and the facings are in officer grade superfine wool.

During 1862 the Richmond Depot Jackets became the standard type issue for the army of Northern Virginia. This early version was trimmed with piping or tape and also featured epaulettes and belt loops. Our version is piped, in your choice of branch of service colours. It can be made in any colour available in Jeancloth

Made by us in taupe jeancloth with mid blue kersey facings to the collar and cuffs, a six piece body, two piece sleeves and a six button front with brass 'I' buttons. It has two inside pockets fitted to the off-white calico cotton lining. Please note in the USA calico is called muslin.
Exceptional quality and value, we have seen competitors jackets that cost twice as much as ours but still do not compare in terms of quality or authenticity.

Our version of this late war jacket is available in light butternut or taupe jeancloth only. It is very similar to the Columbus Depot Jacket but with only the collar faced in blue. The jacket has seven wooden buttons fitted and features a distinctive slant breast pocket, which is fitted on the left hand side side.

A visually unique jacket in that the front left edge lines up with the edge of the collar, making the front edge fall on the centre of the body. Featuring a six piece body, one piece sleeves and the rear being cut to a point. Available in grey jeancloth with two inside pockets fitted in the off white cotton lining. Made in England and shipped to the south late on in the war. Made from a dark Cadet Grey Wool, with eppaulettes and collar piped in dark blue. The distinctive white topstitching and buttonholes make this a ver individual jacket of its time. See inset picture for details of the tostitching.

This Greatcoat was made for one of clients who is a serious collector of replica Museum Quality Confederate clothing, we made it from our warm grey Depot jeancloth. It is a copy of a greatcoat in a private collection.
The body of the coat is unlined but the cape is lined in a period checked cotton. It is machine sewn throughout and the seams are exposed on the inside as was the original. There is a centre vent at the rear but no belt.

Nine (small) button front with small stand-up collar, made in quality wool with four exterior pockets and one interior document pocket, lined in either black, brown polished cotton or natural white calico. This jacket saw extensive use by both Eastern and Western Armies; the jackets used by the Army of Tennessee were of jeancloth with a cotton lining and a six wood or brass 'I' button front. Cut about one inch shorter than the Columbus Depot Jacket. Optional collar in branch of service. Jeancloth.

We have based these drawers on the examples contained in the Columbia Rifles Research Compendium.
These drawers are made from a cotton Domet flannel that we have had remanufactured. We believe this to be the closest cloth to the cloth that was used on the original drawers that we have personally inspected in the USA.
The drawers have ties at the back and at the ankle, we have fitted a single button to the fly to preserve modesty!!
